Experience
I attended Brigham Young University, where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. After my undergraduate work, I went on to receive my Master of Advanced Studies degree in Material Science at the University of Washington. I am currently preparing to pursue my Physics Ph.D. I have been tutoring and teaching students for over five years. My favorite subjects to tutor are Physics, Calculus, and Precalculus. I am also qualified to tutor Material Science, Pre Algebra, Algebra, Arithmetic, Trigonometry, Geometry, and various Science subjects. I can help students with AP Science and Math classes and can assist them with standardized test preparation, including preparation for the GRE. I approach tutoring first and foremost with the fundamentals in mind. I attempt to go over any areas that they may have missed or need to revisit, and then help them discover patterns and find useful methods for solving problems on their own. My job is to help teach the students to the point that they no longer need me to help them. Outside of school, I love getting outdoors and I like fishing, running, and hiking. I am an amateur photographer and genealogist. I am a self-proclaimed science and math nerd, and I write my own science blog.
